Cylinder Heads:

We specialize in cylinder head remanufacturing and have all of the tools and technical expertise to get the job right the first time. Cylinder head repairs are often complex and require a high level of craftsmanship. For over 40 years we fine tuning our rebuilding process and offering superior diesel engine parts.

We have the ability to remanufacture small cylinder heads all the way up to the CAT 3600 series which weighs over 500 lbs. Cylinder head remanufacturing consists of dissembling the head, magnaflux particle inspection and pressure testing for leaks using the state of the art Newclear Pressure Testing Machine. The vast majority of our diesel engine parts are magnafluxed and pressure tested for cracks.

We can perform a wide variety of cylinder head repairs and believes highly in its 13 distinct steps to cylinder head remanufacturing. Cylinder head remanufacturing consists of both basic and advanced repairs including injector tube replacement, valve guide and valve seat replacement, repairing bridge pin bores. We also resurface the deck and exhaust manifold on all cylinder heads regardless of diesel engine part’s condition. Crack repair in the casting can be performed both using cold stitch welding as well as hot oven welding techniques.  We can also repair cam bushing bores as well as any damage incurred in the exhaust manifold stud holes.

After all repairs have been addressed we reassemble the newly remanufactured cylinder head, check valve heights and vacuum check the seal between the valve face and the valve seat. Camshafts:

Remanufacturing is the lifeblood of what we do. We remanufacture diesel engine parts including: camshafts, followers, lifters, crankshafts, connecting rods, cylinder heads and cylinder blocks. Our ISO 9001 level machine shop contains the most up to date technology employed by some of the best remanufacturing professionals in the world. 

We sell camshafts for all of the top brands including Caterpillar, Cummins, Detroit Diesel and more. The benefits of our remanufactured camshafts are that they are sometimes less that 50% less cost than traditional OEM camshafts.  Typically, camshafts ship within a day or two of ordering which means less downtime for your operation.

Connecting Rods:

Our connecting rod department stands behind its precision quality control standards. We hire the best connecting rod remanufacturing specialists in the business. More often than not, we recruit connecting rod grinders and diesel engine parts specialists from highly sought after remanufacturing facilities across the country.

Remanufactured connecting rods are thoroughly cleaned and magnafluxed before being machined to OEM specifications. After machining, the connecting rod is honed to the original diameter specified by the manufacturer to ensure proper distribution of stress on the bearings. Every new connecting rod comes with new bushings and then inspected for bend and twist.

Unlike most other machine shops, we employ a rigorous 12 step quality control process. Our quality control department uses independent and precisely calibrated testing instrumentation to ensure our connecting rods exceed OEM specifications. We make sure center-to-center balance is accurate, piston pin bushings are inspected and resized correctly and lastly we determine if the measurements between the piston bore and crank are retaken.

Crankshafts:

Crankshafts grinding is part art and part science. We employ some of the most experienced crankshaft grinders in the world with well over 142 years of experience between everyone in the department.

Once we receive a crankshaft we thoroughly clean the part in a chemical hot tank solution as well as hand clean to flush out the oil passages. Remanufactured crankshafts are rebuilt to exact OEM tolerances with no odd size bearings or journals. All of the thrust surfaces are micro-polished to guarantee precise surface contact for smooth engine operation and reduced stress on the bearings. It is important to inspect every journal with absolute critical accuracy; our quality control department works side by side with the crankshaft remanufacturing specialist to ensure accuracy.

After grinding the crankshaft we chamfered oil holes to further advance lubrication and every journal is hand polished to improve the life of the bearings.  We have a 25 point process to remanufacturing crankshafts.

Engine Blocks:

Warranty Programs:

We stand behind the quality of our craftsmanship and understand the unexpected happens. Capital Reman Exchange, LLC warrants its remanufactured products to be free from defects in material or workmanship and provides a warranty that includes 12 months unlimited miles of which the first 6 months will include parts and labor.
