“From what we get, we can make a living; what we give, however, makes a life.” ~ Arthur Ashe
Harry Samora was a vibrant young child full of life who tragically passed away unexpectedly at the age of 8 from meningitis. Some of us here at the company have a personal connection with the Samora Family and would like to invite you to donate a toy of your choosing to benefit sick patients at Children’s Hospital in Aurora, Colorado.
The toy drive was created by the Samora Family to honor their son. Over the past 7 years the toy drive has grown, last year the foundation collected 1774 toys! They have not done this alone, as many businesses and schools have joined in, it has become a community effort, for certain. The toys are delivered just before Christmas, making the holiday a bit more cheerful for the kids that are at Children’s Hospital. These toys bring smiles to infirmed children. Harry’s mom stated “I am hoping when my son looks down, he will see those smiles, and perhaps it will make him smile, too.”
The goal this year is to double last year’s collections. The foundation is hoping to gather 3000 toys this year! If you can afford it, please purchase a new or unused toy to any of the locations listed above. Or you can send a check or money order to The Harry Samora Foundation. Toys will be purchased with the proceeds.
Even if you do not live in Colorado you can make a donation at www.harrysamoramemorial.com. Thanks for all of your support and Happy Holidays from all of us here at Capital Reman!
